Just like the name Gili Gede which in Sasak language means “largest small island”, is the largest offshore island adjacent to Lombok. This secret island has ie a lot to offer. Some mornings Indonesia’s 2nd tallest Volcano Mt. Rinjani can be seen not so far way. And from the North side of Gili Gede Mount Agung appears tall, close by and majestic. It takes approximately 4 to 5 hours to walk the 12 kilometer around the island and its magical hills, ponds, forest, and white sandy beaches. The 12 Gili area also offer one of the best snorkeling and diving experience in Lombok, with countless stunning reefs distributes all around of 12 Gili area especially Gili layar and Gili ringgit.
